Hydrocarbon Exploration

Uruguay has positioned itself as an attractive country for hydrocarbon exploration, witnessing significant growth in private investment in exploration and making great progress in understanding the subsoil of its territory and the Uruguayan maritime platform. The exploration activities are framed within the Strategic Guidelines of Energy Policy, agreed upon by all political parties for the period 2008-2030, which emphasized the need to reduce dependence on external energy sources.

CHR Group has provided services and onshore logistical support for the hydrocarbon exploration project carried out by TOTAL E&P in Uruguayan waters during the years 2015-2016.
